Accreditation & Community Risk Reduction
The Community Risk Reduction is managed primarily through the Fire Prevention office. This office is led by the Deputy Chief of Fire Prevention and the Fire Marshal. Within this office are the following: Plan Review, Code Enforcement, and Community Education. The agency conducts risk assessments to develop the Standard of Cover that includes, but is not limited to, creating and managing risk through code adoption, code enforcement, community master planning, and community risk mitigation, all in an effort to minimize risk not only against fire loss, but natural disaster and emergency medical risk presented by the community dempographics.
