Gas Leak

Kinder Care 3

Loveland-Symmes Fire Department responded to a gas leak inside a child care facility on Tuesday morning, quickly the firefighters were able to find the leak and shut the gas off to the building.  Before calling the fire department the staff had already evacuated the building of all staff and children.  With record low temperatures that morning LSFD firefighters decided to move approx. 30 children and staff to the fire station near by to keep them warm and out of harms way.  We were able to walk most of the children to the fire station and move some of the younger children in cribs.  Duke Energy and building maintenance were able to fix the issue and restore gas within an hour of the initial call.  Kinder Care 1
